Miki Rokuroda is a New York City based artist. Early in her artistic development, she trained as a traditional Japanese painter at Tokyo's Tama Art University. Moving to NYC in 2000, she's continued to evolve her vision. She was selected for the Drawing Centers Viewing Program, has exhibited in museums in both Japan and New York, and held various solo and group shows around New York City. Much of her abstract art uses traditional Japanese materials. They are hightly detailed and labor-intensive, creating, exciting, moody and emotional combinations of color and texture.
